Camp Kokoda is our facility in the foothills of Mt Barney about a 20 minute drive west from the town of Rathdowney. Camp Kokoda boasts six self-contained camping sites, each featuring rustic-style shelters equipped with gas stovetops, solar-powered lighting, refrigeration, composting toilets, fire pits, and access to potable water. Choose between 3-person tents or larger group-sized bivouacs at every campsite. If youÂ’re seeking a more comfortable stay, our lower campsite at the base offers the option to stay in one of our six cabins, accommodating a total of 24 guests with four individuals per cabin.
Sitting in the beautiful bushlands arounds Lake Maroon, Camp Kokoda provides incredible outdoor activities such as canoeing, abseiling and flying fox. Camp Kokoda offers students the opportunity to enhance their skills and personal growth by immersing them in exhilarating, demanding, and thought-provoking activities that are not typically encountered within a traditional classroom setting.
