The Australian Camps Association supports a number of research projects on behalf of it's members, including:
National Incident Database (NID) - for an overview of the data collected to date, click here.
National Soft Skills Training: Investigating Soft Skill Training in the Outdoor Recreation Sector – Mandi Baker, Phd.
We know there has been plenty of research on ‘hard skills’ in the outdoors but less attention has been paid to facilitation or ‘soft skills’ in this area. Mandi’s work aims to identify the range of soft skill training currently being undertaken across the country and to highlight any deficiencies that may exist.
