Our Mission: 'More People Outdoors More Often'

aca_guide_cover_Low res_2025.jpgThe Australian Camps Association (ACA) is Australia's national peak body for camps and outdoor activity providers. As a 'for purpose' organisation, we exist to develop, support, and promote camp experiences that create positive outcomes for individuals, communities, and society.

Who We Serve

For Groups Seeking Experiences We welcome all people, regardless of gender identification, age, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. Whether you're organising school camps, holiday programs, sporting retreats, family getaways, faith-based gatherings, seniors' activities, or inclusive programs for people with disabilities, we're your trusted starting point.

Our free booking enquiry service connects you with member providers who can deliver exceptional outdoor experiences tailored to your group's unique needs.

For Industry Professionals We support camp operators and outdoor activity providers across Australia through professional development, resources, advocacy, and networking opportunities that enhance their capacity to deliver world-class programs.

Understanding 'Camps' vs 'Camping'

What we mean by 'camp': We represent structured camp experiences, whether that's attending a specialised program (like a tennis or music camp) or staying at a dedicated camp facility. Our member venues are purpose-built, comfortable, and safe spaces designed for groups to gather, learn, and create lasting memories together.

What we don't cover: Informal camping activities involving tents, caravans, and recreational camping. For camping information, we recommend contacting your state's outdoor peak body.

Our Specialised Programs

People Outdoors Inclusive outdoor experiences for people living with disability, designed for children, teens, and adults: with or without NDIS plans. Learn more
