ACA Members Save 10% on Curated Standards Sets from Standards Australia

The Australian Camps Association (ACA) is pleased to announce a new member benefit through Standards Australia Store.

As an interim measure, while the ACA and Standards Australia work towards developing an Australian Camps Industry specific Standards Set, ACA members can now access a 10% discount on Standards Australia curated standards sets using a dedicated ACA referral code. 

This code is now active within the Standards Australia online store and can be entered during checkout to receive a 10% discount on eligible curated standards sets.

While members may wish to explore the full range of curated sets available through Standards Australia Store, ACA believes the following sets will be of particular interest to camps, accommodation providers, outdoor education centres, adventure activity providers, and associated businesses:

Looking Ahead
This arrangement is intended as an interim solution while two important developments continue:

1. Development of an Australian Camps Industry Standards Set
   The ACA has been working with Standards Australia throughout 2026 to identify and package the standards most relevant to camps and residential accommodation providers. This work originated from ACA's proposal to create a sector-specific collection that includes standards relating to accommodation, bunk beds, accessibility, food services, adventure activities, emergency management, bushfire protection, electrical safety, and many other areas important to camp operations. 
    
2. Government-sponsored access to selected referenced standards
   Standards Australia is also working closely with the Australian Government to support the delivery of the Government-sponsored access initiative announced in the Federal Budget. This initiative is intended to provide read-only digital access to selected Australian Standards that are referenced in legislation and regulation, making them more accessible to the Australian community. 
   
   The platform to support this access is currently in the final stages of testing, and Standards Australia is working with the Australian Government to confirm the relevant standards and legislative references. Standards Australia is also engaging with international standards bodies and other partners to secure the permissions required to make standards available through the initiative. 
   
   While there is no confirmed launch date at this stage, Standards Australia has advised that further updates will be provided as implementation progresses. You can register your interest here.
