Australian Camps International Volunteer Program Approved

ACA is pleased to confirm that it has been approved by the Department of Home Affairs as a Temporary Activities Sponsor under the Temporary Activity (subclass 408) visa framework. This approval enables ACA to deliver the Australian Camps International Volunteer and Cultural Exchange Program, providing a compliant and structured pathway for international volunteers to support ACA member camps.
 
Delivered in partnership with New Ventures Worldwide (NVW), the program places young international volunteers at Australian camps for placements of up to 12 months. Volunteers support camp operations under supervision while sharing their culture, language, and experiences with young Australians in residential camp environments.
 
The Australian Camps International Volunteer Program has been designed specifically for the camp sector. ACA manages sponsorship and overall program oversight, while NVW is responsible for volunteer recruitment, screening, preparation, and ongoing pastoral care. This shared approach reduces administrative burden for camps and ensures strong standards of safeguarding, supervision, and compliance throughout each placement.
