Australian Camps Association welcomes new partnership with Harp Renewables Australia

Camps produce food waste in bucket loads.  As the world learns more about how to become more sustainable and lower our carbon footprint, the camps and led outdoor activity sector is no different.

With education and experiences outdoors at the forefront of Australia’s programs at camp, many camps are now including environmental sustainability elements into their programs.

The Australian Camps Association is happy to announce an exciting new Partnership with Harp Renewables Australia.  Harp is the global leader in thermophilic aerobic digestion technology and waste treatment solutions.  Harp Renewables offer a solution that eliminates landfill of harmful organic wastes, significantly reducing CO2 and greenhouse gases.  The solution is brilliant, and it’s simple!  They sell a broad range of Bio Digesters that convert food and other organic waste into a dry, safe, nutrient-rich bio fertiliser within a 24-hour period.  The odourless by-product of this remarkable process, ‘Infusion’, provides unique soil regenerative properties above and beyond what is currently available in the Australian fertiliser market with unparalleled carbon sequestration properties.

Harp’s Bio Digesters are capable of digesting between 1,000 – 50,000 litres (or 5.5 tonnes of food waste) a week.  The process reduces the overall volume by 70-85% and importantly, no water is required to complete the process, nor is there any discharge to the sewer.  There are significant economic and environmental benefits to be gained through the Harp Bio Digester, saving you costs while you help save the planet.  This completely eradicates the neeharprenewablesausintro.pngd for external waste removal contractors with escalating costs at landfill. A true circular economy offering - waste in, and value returned in the output.

If you are seeking to reduce your current waste disposal costs and reap the benefits of a true circular economy solution, the addition of a Harp Bio Digester to your camp’s sustainability toolkit will fast-track your goals.

The benefits to your business will include:

  • 80%-100% reduction in bin and collection services costs.
  • Up to 85% reduction in weight and volume of current organic food waste
  • Production of a safe, non-toxic nutrient-rich by product for use on your camp grounds, ‘Infusion’, thus negating the need for expensive chemical based fertilisers.
  • 24/7 Real time remote data reporting App complete with quantifiable carbon reduction reporting.
  • Fulfill organisational Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements.

The clean, odourless food waste process will increase available pest-free space at your camp. This is a fantastic solution to reduce carbon, establishing your business well and truly as being ‘green’.

Beyond the Bio Digester, this process provides a unique learning opportunity for staff and camp visitors that will educate and encourage all on improved separation of waste streams and the true value of circular economy technologies.  The difference we need to make to improve our sustainability of this planet can be made and is being made with Harp.

Contact the team at Harp Renewable to learn about options to suit your site and current waste volumes, and enquire of their competitive finance terms (Lease or Own).
