Purchase Tested and Compliant Crates

ACA TeamSystems 2.png

The Australian Camps Association (ACA), working closely with Team Systems, has completed independent testing on crates to confirm compliance with the new Australian Standard for crate stacking activities. These crates meet all required structural integrity criteria and are ready for use.

Camps can now register interest and secure crates through the ACA supply process. This removes the need for individual operators to arrange testing.

Indicative pricing will be confirmed during ordering:

  • ACA member rate predicted at about 16 dollars ex GST per crate
  • Non-member rate predicted at about 19.66 dollars ex GST per crate

Why Tested Crates Matter

Regulators now expect crates to meet the structural integrity requirements outlined in the new Standard, which means untested crates will not meet future compliance expectations. Tested crates support safer delivery, better risk management and clearer operational documentation.

What Is Changing

Every crate used in crate stacking programs must now be verified through an approved test method outlined in the Australian Standard. The ACA and Team Systems have supplied compliant crates early so camps can transition without disruption. These crates have passed all required assessments.

Crates used in programs must be:

  • Marked as tested
  • Individually identifiable
  • Included in daily usage checks and logged inspections

How Compliance Is Confirmed

Crates are tested as a stack of three on a stable surface, using a controlled load device that simulates participant force. Testing covers:

  • Vertical static load
  • Vertical fatigue load
  • Vertical impact

Crates must show no cracking, deformation or structural failure. Any non-conformity results in a fail.
