Gees Lagoon Field Study is a learning program focusing on local pressures affecting our vital wetlands area. The program takes learning from a classroom setting to an outdoors, hands on, sensory experience. The Gees Lagoon program highlights the ecological significance and environmental value of the lagoon and surrounding wetlands. It showcases a creative learning space where students can explore, discover and be inspired by the lagoonâs diverse aquatic wildlife, surrounded by Hawkesbury sandstone formations.
The program promotes learning through wondering, observing and questioning about flora and fauna within their natural ecosystems.
