Outer Eastern Training Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 40948) registered with the Australian Skills and Qualifications Authority. Outer Eastern Training Institute is proud to offer the Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation as a one year traineeship program. Certificate IV is an additional one year program.

The Certificate III qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in guiding outdoor recreation activities in a controlled environment.

The Certificate IV qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to independently lead groups in uncontrolled environments. They require technical knowledge of the outdoor recreation activity to be transferred to allow individuals to safely participate in the outdoor activity.

OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP

OETI are pleased to announce that in 2021 we shall be delivering Certificate III and IV in Outdoor Leadership. The Outdoor Leadership training package in completely new and supersedes the old Outdoor Recreation Training package.

Our courses run as a Traineeship, so you can get paid while learning. Both courses start early January and run for 12 months. - Top Rope Climb/Abseil Guide on natural surfaces

- Rafting Guide Grade II
- Rafting Guide Grade III (*Grade II or equivalent experience is a pre-req)

Skiing
- Ski Touring Leader on Easy terrain

Challenge Ropes
- Challenge Ropes Lead
- Challenge Ropes Supervisor (*Lead is a pre-req)

Mountain Bike
- Cycle Tour Leader on Off-Road Easy Trails
- Cycle Touring On Road

Snorkeling
- Snorkel Leader
