Apex Camps has a history of running camps and providing outdoor adventure activities to schools and other groups since 1983.

Apex Camps Magnetic Island is easily accessed by 25 minute ferry ride from Townsville. The camp is a fully purpose-built, ten acre camp located at the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and surrounded by national parkland, providing the perfect camp atmosphere for all types of groups.

Apex Camps Magnetic Island offers delightful cabin accommodation for up to 115 guests, delicious full onsite catering plus a choice of more than 20 fabulous outdoor adventure activities. Activities include natural rock abseiling, SUP boarding, archery, kayaking, raft building, snorkelling + much more, all of which are provided by qualified, accredited and experienced instructors.

Apex Camps Magnetic Island is a registered not-for-profit charity organisation, so not only do we provide excellent value for money, you can feel good that your booking with Apex Camps goes towards supporting Apex Australia, helping improve the lives of young Australians.

The camp may also be booked for birthday parties and day programs and events.

Apex Camps Magnetic Island is situated on the breathtaking Magnetic Island, a short ferry ride from Townsville in tropical North Queensland. The camp is located in Picnic Bay on the west of the island, surrounded by national parkland with an abundance of bushwalks and beautiful beaches. Your gateway to the Great Barrier Reef with a unique marine environment, and home to northern Australia's largest colony of koalas living in the wild, our 10 acre camp offers the perfect camp atmosphere for all types of groups.
