We are an oasis of civilisation in an Alpine wilderness environment.
I'm writing this in winter. Looking out my window over the bare trees I can see snow on Mount Feathertop and can barley remember the festival of colours of autumn. We have deer coming down off the hills and joining the kangaroos and wombats on our property to escape the snow on the valley floor. They cross over at the river and a 10 meter walk brings them onto our grounds for the fresh grass.
Kookaburras, parrots, mountains, water, bush tracks and Feathertop Chalet.
