Capricorn Caves is a multi-generational family owned attraction located 23km north of Rockhampton and just minutes off the Pacific Coast Way. The intimate Adventure Tour allows further exploration with breath-taking views from the summit and a true bucket-list experience. As an Advanced Eco-Tourism attraction Capricorn Caves is a home to an abundance of native wildlife and endangered species which you can discover on tour. Experienced local guides deliver the captivating stories of this ancient Australian landscape on small-scale interpretive tours. Set on 80 acres, the spacious fully self-contained cabins and caravan sites are perfect for a short getaway or an extended stay. Guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the bushland, re-connect with family and marvel as you stargaze upon the un-obstructed night sky.

Camps: Capricorn Caves Outdoor & Environmental Education Centre offers groups the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the local environment and history of central QueenslandÂ’s premier limestone cave attraction. Whether you are planning your annual school leadership camp, or a subject specific excursion, our residential facility and day visit areas allows us to tailor camps and excursions to your specific needs. We welcome school groups from P-12, as well as youth groups and tertiary level students. Our diverse program includes outdoor challenges, environmental exploration, cultural immersions, citizen science experiences and camp staples such as team games, campfire, cooking and art. Of course, no visit is complete without a guided tour into the enchanting chambers of the Capricorn Caves. Our Camp Itineraries are always adjusted to fit your group requirements. Do you have a custom request for an excursion? We can meet the needs of your specialised subjects, including History, Geography, Geology, Biology, Tourism, Outdoor Recreation, Maths, ArtÂ… the list goes on. Our Lodge Accommodation, EcoTent Village & Marquee spaces are also available for private hire, so if your group needs a large space, please get in touch.
