Araluen is an ideal location for retreats, school camps and family gatherings, with great facilities and activities located on the Great Ocean Road.

Very recently a major upgrade was undertaken, including the complete remodelling of our dining hall and kitchen facilities. We now have the capability to cater for groups of more than 200 people. The majority of our 24 well-maintained dormitories are ensuited. Our bedding capacity is 150.

Many people comment on AraluenÂ’s serene, peaceful environment. Our facilities are suitable for school and church groups, weddings and corporate functions, and for any group wanting to gather together at a pleasant, well-appointed venue.

Our campsite is surrounded by gum trees and bush land, yet we are only a five-minute walk from the Anglesea shopping strip and a 15-20 minute walk to the ocean beach. Araluen is an ideal location for retreats, school camps and family gatherings.

The main beachfront is patrolled by lifesavers throughout summer and the river mouth of Anglesea River provides a sheltered paddling and beach area for family picnics or group activities.
