Vale Jenny Bowker (11/01/1944 – 14/04/2024)

The Australian Camps Association is saddened to hear the news of the passing of ACA Life Member, Jenny Bowker.

Through Kangaroobie (residential camp located in Victoria), Jenny was a big advocate for the positive impact of camps, initially involved with the Camping Association of Victoria and the International Camping Fellowship (ICF).  Jenny was elected as President of the International Camping Fellowship at the Sixth International Camping Congress in 2003 and filled this role until 2008. She was awarded the ICF’s Abbott Fenn Druzhba Award in special recognition of an individual, Camp, or Organization, which has made a significant and sustained contribution to International camping back in 2016.

Jenny was inducted as an Australian Camps Association Life Member in 2008.
