Be Deadly evolved from a group founded by Isaac Young, a Gunnai/ Gunditjmara/Yorta Yorta and Waradjuri man. Isaac first attended Lord Somers Camp ‘Big Camp’ as a staff member in 2013. In Isaac’s own words he felt like empowered and challenged by coming to Big Camp and wanted to provide a similar experience for his own community.

Knowing that other young indigenous people could benefit from the experience and lessons he learnt while incorporating his culture and life experience to empower other youth. Understanding that to support each other is also to strengthen each other.

Be Deadly is a social enterprise based in Greater Melbourne. The mission of Be Deadly is to empower young indigenous people to be self-confident, culturally aware and courageous by developing the skills they need to be Future Leaders in their own communities.

The vision of Be Deadly is to build up the next generation of leaders by developing a brand which complies with the concepts of originality, creativity and the power of indigenous people and their culture from many nations working together.
